The scribes fraternity is mourning one of their own, a The Standard Group crime reporter died on Tuesday morning, February 18.
According to The Standard, Darlington Manyara died after a short illness.
He is said to have fallen sick after he returned from the Coast, where he was helping in the moving of property belonging to his late brother Ronny Ntubiri, who was buried in January.
Manyara was not only a reporter for The Standard but also a Radio Maisha and was based in Meru County.
Standard Group Mt Kenya Region Bureau Chief Francis Ngige mourned him as a lively individual who was zealous about his work.
"He was such a bubbly mate and a passionate journalist who we shall greatly miss. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may the family find strength," Ngige stated.
Friends and family also took to his Facebook page to mourn the departed scribe.
"I am saddened and cannot believe you are no more Darlington Sharobaro. A professional colleague and a friend. May your soul rest in eternal peace," John Mondoh stated.
"RIP Darlington Sharobaro, he lost his brother recently my God comfort the family," Calvin Onsarigo expressed.
Manyara, who was born in a family of one sister and two brothers, studied journalism and mass communication at the Technical University of Kenya.
Other media organisations that he has worked for include; Nation Media Group and The Eye newspaper.
Among some of the stories that Manyara followed include; the shooting of Meru County Speaker Joseph Kaberia's two aides and a catholic priest who was murdered at a bar.
