Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro went into an angry tirade after calls that Deputy President William Ruto should resign or be impeached in the near future.
In a post on his social media pages on Sunday, March 8, Nyoro faulted the opinion that DP Ruto should leave office due to alleged gross misconduct since he was elected on one ticket with the President.
"Ruto to resign? From who and what? He was elected as a ticket. And if they don't want him anymore, waturudishie kura zetu turudi kwa uchaguzi (return our votes so that we can go back to the ballot)," he stated.
Nyoro weighed in on allegations that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) was being used to intimidate the Deputy President and other leaders allied to him.
He dared DCI Kinoti to go for the Deputy President and hold him responsible for the alleged indiscretions he is suspected to have committed instead of frustrating individuals around him.
He also lamented that some unnamed individuals with immense powers had taken to using their might to intimidate other leaders into buying into their ideologies.
"Kenya is not a property of two or three families to be directing us like marionettes. They may have all the land and money that they took from our grandfathers but for sure, we are not stupid," he added.
Nyoro further alleged that the powers that be had taken to frustrating officials of all cadres, most of whom have bowed to their will, but insisted that the Mwananchi would not be intimidated by the same forces.
"We will not allow ourselves and those who will come after us to continue being slaves of a few! Your obsession to eliminate competition belongs to yesteryears and will not succeed!
"We cannot live like tenants in our own country. You have subjugated and intimidated Governors, some MPs, MCAs, etc but you will not intimidate Kenyans.
"One day, Kenya will demand distributive justice! We are African and Africa is our Business...," he concluded.
