A pupil who was brutally beaten, allegedly by his teachers, has been moved to another school.

Wellwishers came together and raised money to support the class 8 candidate with tuition money and boarding fees in a new school.

According to Radio Mikayi, a well-wisher, who learnt of the boy's plight at Nyamninia Primary School, via social media teamed up with his friends and raised cash to facilitate the transfer.

The class eight pupil will join Serve Progressive Academy in Sabatia, Vihiga County but will sit his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams in Nyamninia Primary School.

Reports indicated that the pupil will be accompanied by teachers during the KCPE period to his original examination centre where he will be sitting the national test.

His plight was made public after a video of the Primary school pupil went viral as he was lamenting and showing injuries allegedly inflicted by his teacher for failing to attain 400 marks.

The video caused a national uproar since the minor was crying and threatening to quit school after being subjected to corporal punishment.

In the video, the boy explained how a teacher flogged him for failing to hit the target score, leaving him nursing serious body injuries.

The pupil argued that he had been subjected to the same corporal punishment for a period of time by a teacher who wanted him to score 400 marks.

"The more I continue persevering, the more they continue beating me. I have endured for 11 years, but right now, I can't take it anymore," the boy lamented as tears rolled down his cheeks.

"They are beating me like this because of 400 marks? They should just let me achieve what I am capable of achieving but not force me to get 400 marks. What should I do now?" wondered the pupil.
