Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has announced free training to sensitise Kenyans on government procurement opportunities.

The sensitisation forum is targeted at youth, women, persons with disabilities, and local-local suppliers across the country.

The objective of the workshops is to raise awareness among potential suppliers and build capacity among interested parties, including the special groups mentioned above. The forums will also promote competition in government procurement processes.

“As a leader of electricity generation in Kenya, and in alignment with the Government of Kenya’s policy aimed at enabling the Youth, Women, and Persons living with disabilities to access a minimum of 30% of government procurement opportunities, KenGen is taking proactive steps to organize sensitisation workshops,” read the notice partly.
