Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, on Tuesday, January 2, raised an alarm after his official Facebook account, with over 500,000 followers, was hacked.
Taking to his X page, the Legislator disclosed that his page was infiltrated on January 1.
“My Facebook page was hacked yesterday. We are trying to resolve the problem,” Nyoro remarked.
The hackers went ahead to post explicit photos on the page's story section, eliciting mixed reactions.
This forced the MP to assure the public that necessary measures were being undertaken to restore the page.
While commenting on the same issue, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino alleged that the hackers had sent a direct message coercing him to send them money.
"Ndindi Nyoro's Facebook account has been hacked and the hackers are inboxing me to send them some money," Babu Owino claimed.
Blogger Dennis Itumbi similarly reaffirmed the occurrence, urging the public to ignore any fresh updates emanating from the hacked page.
