Pastors and religious leaders flocked a home in Kabete, Kiambu County, after family and friends called for exorcism to be performed on an 11-year-old allegedly possessed by evil spirits.
Peter Kamau, is said to have began speaking incoherently when the family moved from their previous land without paying a Sh10,000 debt.
“The evil spirits have come to collect a Sh10,000 debt we left behind,” said Teresa Njoki, the mother of the victim.
The religious leaders who came from different denominations, stated that they were out to expel the demons and rescue the innocent child.
“The boy falls suddenly and starts blubbering. We do not know what do so we just listen to the spirits while watching over the boy,” said one of the concerned residents.
A report by KTN showed that despite the fervent prayers from the pastors, the boy is yet to get back to his normal self.
