The Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) has announced that Parklands and Westlands areas will go without water following a pipe that was damaged by a contractor, developing a property along Parklands Road.
NWSC told Kenyans.co.ke that the damage would be repaired in the next 24 hours but smooth flow of water in the affeced areas would resume on Friday.
The tampered pipes are located at the junction of Mpaka and Parklands roads and according to reports, Aga Khan and MP Shah hospitals, Nairobi Law School, Kenyatta University’s Parklands Law School are already feeling the impact.
The water company's Technical Director Nahashon Muguna indicated that the contractor responsible for the fault had not yet been traced.
The ongoing repair has led to the closure of Parklands Road from Fedha Plaza to Mayfair Casino.
