More details of ODM chairman John Mbadi's companies linked to the infamous multi-billion National Youth Service (NYS) scandal have emerged.
Mbadi, who was accused by National Assembly leader Aden Duale of being a beneficiary in the scam, noted that the companies associated to him had collapsed in 2011.
The Suba MP indicated that the claims made by Mr Duale were baseless daring him to provide evidence of his involvement.
Mbadi, a member of the Public Accounts Committee investigating the NYS saga, divulged that the company only had two trucks used to supply sand and murram.
"The business was mainly run by my wife and has not been active since 2011. One of the trucks is permanently grounded."
"Of the two companies Mr Duale mentioned, I only have association with Takawiri Limited, a company that went dormant long before the NYS saga that began in earnest in 2013 or thereabouts," Mbadi stated.
He insisted that Duale was simply out to discredit him because the Jubilee Government had been adversely implicated in the scandal.
Earlier, Duale had mentioned Takawiri Enterprises and Omos Supplies Limited as the two companies Mbadi used to receive money from NYS.
Duale's allegations came after Mbadi revealed that the PAC was compromised and would not conduct proper investigations into the explosive corruption scandal at the service.
The oversight committee chairman Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda) even sought for the sanction of the ODM chairman.
