Lately the city of Nairobi has been on a spotlight over insecurity as a result of the increasing number of marauding fake City Askaris.
As a consequence, the city Inspectorate director Hillary Wambugu has asked the office of the public relations at city hall to organize a forum to discuss the same.
The impersonators have on numerous occasions been accused of extorting money from unknowing citizens.
Failure to comply with their demands they resort to harassing and threatening the victims with implicating them with offenses such as loitering, smoking in public and littering.
In cases where the victims have no money they are forced to give up their mobile phones.
It is through this act that prompted Mr. Paul Peter- a victim- to draft a letter to the Director of Inspectorate on 23rd July 2015.
