Father Hires 'Gang' To Rape Daughter

A Spanish national sparked outrage among Mtwapa residents in Kilifi County after he allegedly hired men to have sex with his mentally disabled daughter.

The 72-year-old man who had been arrested over the offence,  was released on Wednesday after the charges were dropped and only answered to one charge of causing public nuisance at a Shanzu Court. The allegations were dismissed after a doctor said that the woman, 32, was not mentally unstable.

Residents, however,  protested his release claiming that they witnessed the incident which occurred in October.

“Baba mgani anaweza ruhusu wanaume walale na msichana wake ambaye anakaa akili punguani?" (What kind of a father would allow men to take advantage of his mentally unstable daughter?), said Juma Panga, one of the neighbours.

According to the locals, the foreigner, Albin Allenspach, was once seen leading four men with dogs into a single room at Smart Villa in Mtwapa and having left the curtains open, residents witnessed the men rape Mr Allenspach's daughter.

According to court documents seen by the Star, Mr Allenspach was arrested on October 27 together with the accused men, Phillip Juma, Stephen Ndegwa and James Karanja.

Police took swabs from the supects and the rape victim but upon proving that the woman was of sound mind, the rape and bestiality charges against the gang were dismissed.

The men and woman who testified before Shanzu's senior Principal Magistrate Jacinta Kwena, pleaded guilty to the charges of public nuisance and were released on a Sh4,000 fine.
