Kabogo Denies Claims of Blocking NASA From Holding Meeting in Kiambu

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has been given the green light to hold their rally in Thika town, Kiambu County.

Area Governor William Kabogo on Wednesday stated that the Opposition was welcome to hold the rally in the county.

He, however, warned the Alliance against 'misbehaving' and engaging in early campaigns which would cause tension.

“We love visitors. They can come and spend their money in our good county. But let them be advised against causing trouble as Kiambu people will stop them,” he stated.

Kabogo dismissed earlier reports that his government had blocked NASA from holding the rally in Thika stadium on grounds that it was being renovated.

The governor accused the Opposition of spreading the false reports which he termed as propaganda.

He further blamed NASA of discrediting the IEBC by constantly claiming that the government was planning to rig the upcoming August 8 General Election.

“NASA leaders are experts in complaining just about everything and offering nothing. Raila should know he is an experienced loser. That is why they are hyping the public to think that Jubilee will rig elections,” he indicated.

During a campaign rally in Eldoret, the Opposition leaders indicated that they would traverse the country, including Jubilee strongholds, popularising NASA.
