KCSE Candidate Arrested For Killing

A form four student at Baba Dogo Secondary School, will be sitting for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations at Nairobi's Ruaraka Police station after he allegedly caned his nephew to death using a pipe.

The 18-year-old boy arrested on Wednesday evening, was involved in an argument with the nephew Chris Otieno, before charging at him and inflicting severe injuries on his head.

Neighbours who attempted to plead with the boy to spare the victim, rushed Otieno to Amani Health Centre where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Starehe OCPD Bernard Nyakwaka stated that the accused would spend his exam period in detention after which investigations would be conducted.

"We will be able to carry out investigations after conclusion of exams. He will then be charged in court if found culpable," he told the Star on phone.

The cause of the heated argument is yet to be known.
