Miguna Miguna Accuses Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero of Manipulating InfoTrack Opinion Poll

Aspiring Nairobi Governor Miguna Miguna has rubbished an opinion poll by InfoTrack that showed his popularity in the city governorship race was still low.

Kidero led the polls with 35.3%, followed by Senator Mike Sonko (23%) and Peter Kenneth (20.2%). Miguna Miguna, Margaret Wanjiru, Esther Passaris and Dennis Waweru got 1.2%, 0.9%, 0.7% and 0.6% respectively.

The Canadian-based lawyer took to Twitter where he blasted the polls saying its intention was to mislead voters and it was financed by cartels, including Governor Evans Kidero.

Both @citizentvkenya and InfoTrack are being paid by @KideroEvans and other cartels. The intention is to mislead voters. It won't work. https://t.co/p1F1SaHmAS

Miguna compared his situation to that of United States of America President Donald Trump before the 2017 elections, saying pollsters had completely written him off but he managed the impossible.

1) Leading up to the November 2016 elections in the USA fake pollsters media & "celebrity" pundits gave @realDonaldTrump -010% of winning.

2) Leading up to the 2017 Nairobi gubernatorial election, fake pollsters, cartel media and half-baked pundits are desperately fighting me.

He further said that the ‘silent majority’ had emerged victorious in US, Gambia and Ghana elections and a repeat was also likely in Nairobi.

3) The "silent majority" won in the US, Nigerian, Gambian and Ghanaian elections; so will Nairobi voters SHAME the fake pollsters & media!

Kidero and Miguna have been at loggerheads for a long time, with the latter accusing the former of fraud while he was the Managing Director at Mumias Sugar Company.

Their differences are set to intensify as they both seek to become the next governor of Nairobi County.
