The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) on Monday issued a direct nomination certificate to a Jubilee party member.
Didymus Baraza, Kimilili parliamentary aspirant, indicated that ODM had issued him with a direct ticket yet he is vying for the seat on Jubilee Party.
"I am solidly in Jubilee. I am surprised that ODM decided to give a non-member direct nomination. When they approached me, I told them that I am in Jubilee. I wonder how they fraudulently registered me?" Baraza questioned.
The aspirant further claimed that the party leader Raila Odinga promised to finance his campaign if he vied for the seat on an ODM ticket.
He, however, rejected the offer indicating that he was in Jubilee and was ready to be nominated in a fair process by the people of Kimilili.
"Let them not waste their time. We will face them off at the polls," he stated.
Baraza also urged the Registrar of Political Parties to ensure that aspirants are not fraudulently enlisted as members of other parties.
The aspirant maintained that he was strongly in Jubilee and no amount of coercion or intimidation would make him ditch the Party for the Opposition.
