Fear gripped students at Technical University of Mombasa; Kwale Campus after rumors of an impending terror attack circulated the campus.
This forced some of them to seek accommodation elsewhere on Thursday night, following fears of an attack at the hostels.
The said rumors are said to have began after news of a letter printed at a cyber café containing details of the campus reached the students.
Speaking to Citizen News, a student said that the letter contained all information about the institution, its operations and the population of the students.
Security officials are said to have increased patrols in the areas, following the incident.
In the mean time, the letter is now in police custody as investigations into the matter continue.
