Pastor Proclaims Mother and Sisters Dead, To Get Father's Land

Residents of Kabirishia village, Meru County were shocked after reports emerged that their pastor had told the court that his mother and sisters had passed on, in order to claim his late father's land.

The AIPCA Ruthatene Church pastor, David Mwiti, produced documents at the Meru High Court indicating that he was the sole surviving family member despite his mother and sisters being alive and well.

The court gave him the go ahead to acquire the title deed to the land.

What many found more shocking was that the pastor went ahead and forged the chief's signature on documents he presented to the court in order to acquire the title deed.

Speaking to Citizen Tv, Mwiti's step sister said she hasn’t been able to fight the court's decision to award the pastor the title deed.

She now wants the County Government to intervene and help her get her portion of the land.

Mwiti's mother however slighted she was by his son's declaration that she was dead, insisted that the land rightfully belonged to him.

The pastor has since been suspended from all church activities pending investigations.
