Nairobi Senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, escaped unhurt on Friday morning after his car was involved in a road accident at a petrol station in Athi River.
Sonko is said to have been fueling at the petrol station along Nairobi-Mombasa Highway when a truck rammed into his Toyota SUV.
Photos circulating on social media showed the posh car badly damaged on the front part. Another photo showed a traumatized Sonko in the company of friends assessing the damage caused after the collison.
The truck is said to have collided with his vehicle as it entered the petrol station. It is confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident.
Shortly after, Nairobi Governor, Evans Kidero, posted a message on Twitter consoling Sonko over the incident.
