President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday delivered a State briefing to Kenyans on the ongoing party nominations.
In his address at State House, the President urged Kenyans to turn out in large numbers and participate in the nominations to select the leaders they want to work for them.
President Kenyatta secondly warned all aspirants against engaging in violent practices stating that police would be spread all over the country during the nominations and that any politician caught causing chaos would be disqualified.
"Police have been put at the disposal of all political parties to ensure no violence," the president stated.
Kenyatta, who is also the Jubilee Party leader, reiterated that his party had invested in ensuring that the nominations were free, fair and acceptable to all the aspirants.
"Several measures have been put in place to ensure credible process including ballot papers and security," Uhuru stated.
He further noted that the party would not favour any candidate and that anyone who feels unsatisfied with the results would be allowed to appeal.
"There are no candidates favoured by Jubilee leadership, I will work with the people that wananchi elect.
"If any aspirant is not satisfied with the process, he/she would be allowed to raise their concerns in a civilised manner," the president noted.
He concluded his address by wishing all Jubilee aspirants all the best in the nominations starting tomorrow.
