Sex for Boda Boda Rises in Kisumu

Boda boda operators in Kisumu City have spoken out on the rise in cases of female clients asking to pay for the service through sex.

The riders claim that their collegues end up wallowing in poverty as they get easily persuaded by women instead of sticking to earn their living.

“He will go home without money in his pocket but with diseases in his body,” said Peter Okiya, an operator in the Central Business District.

The fast rising habit in the lake side city is said to be attracting many young men, who view it as a good thing as rich women reportedly use the trick to nab naive men, Citizen reports.

“We know of women who have wealth but after being transported by a boda boda, they keep the young man in their house for sexual favours. This ends up compromising the rider's jobs," Mr Okiya stated.

The vice is reported to be catching up with the current problem of fishermen exchanging fish for sex, a matter that has greatly contributed to the high prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the region.
