Why ODM MP Wants Other Leaders to Pull Out

Nakuru Town West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama has bashed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party's leadership citing that it had no focus on development agenda.

Speaking at a fundraiser in Nyamira County, the lawmaker told other leaders including Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama, to consider pulling out of the party as it had nothing to offer Kenyans.

He alleged that the party was marred with corruption and would not benefit citizens in any way.

The ODM legislator said the Opposition should stop contending with the Jubilee Government and instead contribute to meaningful development and improvement of the country.

In a report by the Standard, the MP further asserted that ODM leader Raila Odinga would lose the 2017 presidential race if he did not combine politics with development.

Arama added that he was scouting for another party that he would use as his political vehicle in the 2017 elections.

The sentiments by Arama come after a section of Legislators from the coastal region declared their support for the ruling coalition on Sunday, saying that they would not always be in the Opposition for the sake of unity and development.
