A construction worker reporting on the first day died after a building in Nakuru town collapsed on Thursday afternoon.
According to Nakuru town Deputy OCPD, Janet Wasike, two workers were buried alive after the walls of an unfinished building caved in.
One was however, rescued by a team of Red Cross officers, Police and the public who responded promptly at the scene.
Ms Wasike said that they suspected the incident happened due to lose soil.
She added that police had launched a probe into the fatal accident to establish whether due process was followed in the construction of the building.
