President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday addressed allegations of his younger brother Muhoho Kenyatta being entangled in the sugar scandal which the government is fighting.
Speaking during the American Chamber of Commerce-Kenya (AMCHAM) at Gigiri, the Head of State assured investors and Kenyans there will be no scapegoats in the fight against graft adding that no guilty party will be left out in during the investigations.
"I have full confidence in the agencies that we have to do there jobs. People are out there banding my brother yesterday, I have said if he is guilty aendelee what is the problem," President Kenyatta stated.
"We must begin to develop trust in our institution that they will protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty. I ask you all let's leave the politics out of this game and let's do that which is necessary for our country," the President added.

President Kenyatta was speaking after Aldai MP Cornelius Serem alleged that his brother, Muhoho Kenyatta's company, Protech Investment Limited, had imported about 180,000 metric tonnes of brown sugar into the country, and alleged a plot to shield the younger Kenyatta from the investigation.
However, documents presented to the National Assembly revealed that, while Protech had been licensed to import sugar, possibly for use in the dairy plant owned by the family, it did not import a single kilogram.
Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri also defended a company linked to Mr Muhoho, against the claims of importing contraband sugar.
The CS termed Serem’s allegations as “unfortunate and misleading,” affirming that Muhoho’s company “did not even import a single grain of sugar.”
“One shouldn’t think they will gain popularity by bringing in the name of the president or his family for political reasons or to please his masters,” the Agriculture CS stated.
“It is wrong to use one’s privileged position to malign another person or politicise the war against corruption. I gave lists of all registered companies to import sugar and those who imported,” Kiunjuri added.

He further reiterated Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu’s earlier statements that the move is also a ploy by some leaders to intimidate the State to stop investigations into the scandal.
“I expected that the list I gave was corrected, but for one to think they can make headlines by mentioning the name of Uhuru Kenyatta or his family in a crude, village-like manner to intimidate us is wrong,” the CS remarked.
