Uhuru Dresses in School Uniform, Surprises School Kids [PHOTOS &VIDEO]

President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Friday, October 11, stunned students and parents at his alma mater, St Mary's School, after showing up to a function at the institution in full uniform.

The president was expected as the main guest in the celebration of the school's 80th anniversary.

In a white shirt, striped tie and navy blue blazer, the president walked in the school amid cheers from guests, parents and students, all who were in attendance.

As the president waltzed in, Citizen TV news anchor, Jeff Koinange, who was the emcee at the occasion, welcomed the president as he greeted some of his schoolmates before settling down for mass.

Some of the notable guests and alumni in attendance included; Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, political commentator Benji Ndolo among others.

In 2014, the president was also privileged to reunite with his former school mates at the school during a reunion that was hosted by Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange.

During the 75th anniversary of the school, the Head of State expressed relief the event brought him since it coincided with the collapse of his case at the ICC, where he had been accused of crimes against humanity.

“Today is a special day for me. Celebrating 75 years of St Mary and my get-out-of-jail-free card,” he began.

Uhuru recalled many fond memories in the school since he joined in standard three and left when he completed his studies in 1980.

“It made you be the best you can be,” the head of state described his alma mater adding, “I can say many things but I can see cameras and I’m scared of cameras.”
