Fake Surgeon Kills Patient in Botched Surgery

A man posing as a qualified surgeon killed a patient on the operating table in Kambiri, Kakamega County.

The deceased -Stephen Kudodo, had a neck tumor which the surgeon was allegedly operating on.

The suspect is said to have taken advantage of the fact that the sick man could not afford the treatment required.

Speaking to Citizen News, Kudodo's brother said that the fake doctor approached them and claimed to be a surgeon from Kenyatta National Hospital.

He offered to perform the urgently required surgery at a lower fee, asking for only Ksh 15,000 as down payment, since the two could not afford to get one in a proper hospital.

Desperate, the two brothers took the offer and unfortunately, Kudodo died on the makeshift operating table.

The suspect fled the scene after realizing that his patient had died.

Police have launched a man hunt for the suspect.
