Micheal Warutere

Michael Warutere, from Riara Springs Academy,  was the top perfomer in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.

Watutere, who scored 428 marks in the exams revealed that he would love to become a Software Engineer after completing high school. His vision is to help the country solve challenges within the ICT sector.

The budding talent explained one of the main reasons he wants to pursue the course is to use the skills to help Kenyan farmers boost agricultural productivity through using technology. 

Teachers at Riara Springs Academy, which is part of Riara Group of Schools, hailed Warutere as a bright student and a hard worker who was always destined for success.

Warutere had schooled with Riara Springs since the age of 3 after being enrolled in Rainbow, which is the youngest class in kindergarten meaning that cumulatively, he had spent 11 years with Riara.

"This boy (Warutere) has been our child from baby class. He is a very balanced boy who is not only involved in academics but very active in football and drama activities," John Muriithi, Riara Springs Primary School Head heaped praises on Warutere.
