Rita Kavashe is the Managing Director of Isuzu East Africa Limited which is one of the largest vehicle assemblers in Eastern and Central Africa, a position she has held since July 2017.
She is widely credited with growing the company’s profits year on year and streamlining the company’s operations ever since she took over the reins.
Despite the current economic harsh climate, the company paid its shareholders a record Ksh1 billion worth of dividends in March.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Moi University.
She is also a holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
In 2017, Kavashe received State recognition when former President Uhuru Kenyatta honoured her with the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) accolade in recognition of her exemplary service as a business leader.
