Peter Opondo

Group Editorial Consultant, Royal Media Services Limited.

Prior to his new role, Mr Opondo served as an editorial manager at Citizen TV and Media Max Ltd.

At the moment he leads a team of vibrant journalists to produce content for varied media platforms, including TV, Newspaper, Radio and online. He edits news scripts, oversees news gathering process and content development.

Walter Menya

Walter has been writing for Nation Media Group from June 2013 – Present (4 years 11 months).

He previously worked for Radio Africa Group as a political reporter.

In 2008 he was named employee of the year by Nation Media Group.

 

Nyambega Gisesa

He is an investigative journalist with The Standard and a student editor at the East Africa Law Journal.

In the last two years, he has won various awards amongst them the 2013 Journalist of the Year in the Media Council of Kenya Annual Journalism Excellence Awards, and Best Reporter in Kenya’s leading media houses, Nation Media Group (NMG) and Standard Group.

Michael Njenga

He is a news anchor and reporter at Citizen TV.

Before he moved to anchoring, Njenga worked as the Productions Manager both in video and audio sections at Citizen TV.

He previously worked at TBN Family media as a radio presenter where he got promoted to the post of Team Manager Radio (Head of Radio) a position he held till his exit from Family FM.

Oliver Mathenge

Oliver Mathenge is a Managing Editor (Audiences & Engagement) at Nation Media Group (NMG). 

He previously served as a Digital Editor at Radio Africa Group in Nairobi, Kenya.

Mathenge boasts of a 14-year career in communications - 10 of which have been in active political and current affairs journalism.

He has also been involved in corporate branding, communication, and marketing, with proven results in the education and behaviour change communication sectors.

Michael Mumo

Michael Mumo is the Editorial Director at Capital Group Limited.

He commands over a decade of journalism experience in both print and electronic media.

He is a 2007-2008 Chevening scholar who undertook his Masters degree in International Journalism at City University in London and holds a BA degree from Daystar University in Nairobi.

Sam Gituku

Sam Gituku has been a journalist at Citizen TV since November 2014.

His specialty is news coverage, research, and production. Political, Human Interest, and Crime with over 7 years experience.

He was awarded the Young journalist of the year award by the Media Council of Kenya in 2014.

 

 

Emmanuel Igunza

Emmanuel Igunza has been BBC News Correspondent in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia since 2012.

He is also Accredited by the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa UNECA, Addis Ababa

He has worked with Nation Media Group from March 2008- August 2012.

Before that, he was a reporter at Radio Waumini for four years.

 

Sam Ogina

Sam Ogina is a political reporter who joined Citizen TV in 2016.

In July 2017 he was among three journalists injured when a small aircraft crashed near the Southern bypass in Kibera.

The six-seater Cessna 206 reportedly crashed near the National Housing Corporation Houses shortly after taking off from Wilson airport.
