Riara University has broken ground to build a new campus at the Konza Technopolis to the tune of Ksh20 billion.
The facility at Konza will be the main campus for the private university. The university campus will be built in three phases, with the first phase expected to be completed in March 2025.
Isaac Awuondo, the Chairman of Riara University Council noted that the project was a milestone adding that they were modelling other overseas universities that have adopted technology and innovation.
"We are repositioning ourselves to become the innovation and start-up university of Africa, offering unique and specialised programs and science technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in line with the model of Stanford University at Silicon Valley in California," Isaac Awuondo, Chairman of Riara University Council stated.
