Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o opened up on working with both Azimio leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto.
The vocal legislator who spoke in an interview with a local radio station showered the Head of State with praises as he narrated his experiences interacting with President Ruto mostly at State House, Nairobi.
Jalang’o revealed what amazed him most about Ruto was his generosity.
According to the Jalang'o, working with the President typically involved long meetings with little rest and hitting tight deadlines.
"Ruto is a God-fearing leader and most of the time tries to put God first," Jalang'o revealed.
Jalang’o further explained that the President loved taking tea during his free time, especially in the evening hours.
However, the lawmaker also noted that Ruto hated alcoholic drinks and those who took hard drinks near him.
According to Jalang’o, on several occasions, he contemplated drinking alcohol during his meetings with Ruto at the State House but because of his respect for the Head of State, he refrained from doing so.
"During the State House discussions, it reaches a point where I excuse myself from the President to go out and have my drinks with other friends," Jalang'o narrated.
"How can I dare take alcohol in front of the President while he is busy taking tea, where do I even get the courage to do that? I respect State House because that is his residence."
When asked about his present relationship with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila, the legislator who was reluctant to answer claimed he was on good terms with Odinga.
“Raila is my leader and he is a very nice guy who possesses a lot of humility and is a very forgiving person,” Jalang’o stated.
The one-term MP revealed he mostly associated with Raila when it came to political issues and when he needed resolutions to certain things.
