President William Ruto on Sunday evening revealed that he had changed the management of the National Employment Authority (NEA).
Speaking during a Presidential Town Hall held in Mombasa County, Ruto revealed that he had made the changes to facilitate job creation for the youth abroad.
He also added that he made these changes on Sunday morning during a meeting with Labour Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime.
“In fact I was today with my Principal Secretary for Labour, Shadrack Mwadime. I have changed the management of NEA so that we can tap into opportunities to work outside Kenya,” he added.
However, he did not disclose if the new management had already started working on the government's ambitious agenda.
Further, he stated that the country was working on nineteen bilateral agreements where the country would export labour.
Additionally, Ruto stated that his government had managed to create more than 400,000 jobs which were available on the National Employment Authority’s board's website.
