Those seeking to apply for job opportunities in hospitality were directed to present themselves for interviews at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi between October 25 and October 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Kenyans seeking to apply for opportunities in the field of building and construction positions were directed to avail themselves at Kabete National Polytechnic in Nairobi between October 25 and October 27 for interviews which would begin at 7.30 am.

"A Qatari company, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, is in Nairobi conducting interviews for various job opportunities over the next two days. If you are qualified in the above fields, please prepare for interviews," CS Mutua announced.

Mutua in his statement revealed that the interviews would include practical tests with viable applicants urged to adopt the official dress code of black and white or other official dress codes where applicable.

Potential applicants were also directed to come along with essential documents including a curriculum vitae and a passport-size photo. "If you do not have one, arrangements will be made. If you are hired to secure one as soon as possible," the CS said.

"Be well groomed and carry the mentioned documents. Please ensure you are familiar with your industry and job duties. Only candidates for the listed job openings will be allowed entry," Mutua stated.

The former Foreign Affairs minister clarified that no fee would be charged for those seeking to apply for the said positions. Additionally, once hired, the selected candidates would be given requirements for medical tests and visa applications.

Mutua's latest announcement comes hardly a month after he cautioned Kenyans to be wary of fake foreign job recurrent agencies. Appearing before the Senate on September 19, the CS advised Kenyans to go the extra mile and find more information about the recruitment agencies before making applications.
