Judiciary Announces 109 Internship Positions for Degree and Diploma Graduates

The Judicial Service Commission on Friday, November 7, announced 109 internship positions for interested candidates.

This internship program will go on for a period of 12 months, after which interns will have completed a non-renewable term with the Judicial Service Commission.

The positions are spread across the graduate internship program with 52 positions across the office of Administration, ICT, supply chain management, Information science and record management services, and building services.

In the second category, the JSC is offering 57 positions internship in the diploma internship program at the Office administration (secretariat services), Information Communications and Technology,  supply chain management, Information science and records management services, and building service.

"The Commission invites applications from suitable and qualified candidates to fill one hundred and nine (109) internship vacancies in the Judiciary," read part of the statement by JSC.

"The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a constitutional Commission established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to promote and facilitate the independence and accountability of the Judiciary and the efficient,  effective, and transparent administration of Justice," the statement continued.

How to apply:

All interested and qualified candidates have been asked to visit the JSC job portal for a detailed job description, requirements for appointments, and instructions on how to apply.

Applicants will require a letter of application, an updated CV, including names of two character referees, copies of your national identity card (ID), passport, or other legal identification documents.

One should also have certified copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, transcripts, and a recent colored passport-size photo. Applicants planning on presenting fake documents have also been warned.

"Providing false information in your application is a criminal offense and may lead to legal repercussions. All documents and details will be verified by relevant authorities to ensure compliance with recruitment standards," the commission revealed on its job site.

Interested persons have until November 22, at 5:00 pm to apply.

The internship program will offer opportunities for the graduates to consolidate and translate the skills learned from their training into meaningful relevant and practical on-the-job experience.

In addition to gaining work experience, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to Kenya’s justice system, support judicial processes, and learn from experienced professionals.

The Commission has also advertised two positions on the tribunal as it seeks to fill the Chairperson, Sports Disputes Tribunal, and Secretary Tax Appeals Tribunal positions.

The Commission has informed candidates to be alert and not fall on false agents that will ask them to pay as it does not ask for any fees or require medical examinations from applicants.
