A local bank has put several vehicles up for sale, with some going for as low as Ksh 250,000.

In a list published in one of the dailies, the bank announced that 51 cars were up for grabs to the highest bidders.

Potential buyers have been urged to submit bids for their preferred vehicles no later than November 18, 2024 -  exactly one week after the advertisement was made.

The available car brands include Toyota, Mazda, Isuzu, Nissan, and Suzuki among others.

Tractors used in large-scale farming and harvesting have also been put up for sale, with their prices ranging between Ksh 1,000,000 and Ksh 1,200,000.

The cheapest car on auction is a 1998 Toyota Corolla EE102, which is going for Ksh 250,000. A 2008 Nissan Vanette SK82, which is usually used for informal transportation of goods and at times passengers, is going for Ksh 300,000.

Another lucrative offer involves a 2008 Toyota Mark X, which is on auction for Ksh 350,000, which is a fraction of this vehicle's market price.

Bidders who wish to purchase a powerful SUV at a bargain price also have the option of a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser V8, which is going for Ksh 3.3 million.

Notably, a majority of the vehicles on auction are typically used for commercial purposes and are heavy-duty. At least 11 lorries are on auction, with prices ranging from Ksh 1.35 million to Ksh 3.7 million.

The most expensive vehicle on auction is a 2021 Shacman Primemover, which is usually used in long-distance heavy-haul transportation of goods, including fuel tankers. The trucks are going for Ksh 4 million.

Some of the cars are in different storage units around Nairobi while others are in Kisumu, Embu, Malindi, Kisii, Eldoret, and Nakuru, among other counties.

According to the auctioneers, the vehicles will be sold on an 'as is, where is' basis, meaning buyers will acquire the vehicles in the exact condition they find them.
