Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi on Thursday clapped back at Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna after the latter claimed, on national TV, that President William Ruto hangs out with academically challenged politicians.
In a video clip shared on Thursday, Sudi hit back at Sifuna arguing that he has a superior IQ to that of the Nairobi Senator.
Sifuna, while naming the Kapseret MP during the interview, claimed that the President's policies had been hampered by the ineptness of his close confidants.
''Sifuna, you are saying that President William Ruto is hanging out with standard two dropouts. Let me ask you a question, are our voters graduates and can you compare me with you?'' Sudi questioned.
''Look for someone you can compare yourself with but not me. I am in another class, not to brag but you can research my history. You do not possess a quarter of my knowledge,'' he added.
Sudi further slammed the Nairobi Senator over his daily utterances targeting the government stating that the politician's remarks were 'kid-like talks.'
''Sifuna, while education is undeniably important, effective leadership requires more than just academic credentials. It's a blend of intelligence and inherent qualities, something that Wamunyoro's lapdog doesn't seem to fathom,'' he stated.
Sudi was responding to Sifuna’s earlier remarks, in which he targeted the President’s allies by alleging that Ruto surrounds himself with dropouts.
''My friends will never persuade me that Ruto is good for the country and, in fact, he has very little time to save the situation,'' Sifuna remarked.
''There is little he can do to save his presidency and that is why his allies are speaking the way that he does. I have never seen a PhD who hangs with class two dropouts.''
During the show on Citizen TV, the SG declared that he would not support President Ruto's re-election even if the ODM party Leader Raila Odinga backed him.
Sifuna further stated that it did not matter if the decision impacted his senatorial position as he had the pleasure of serving as the Nairobi Senator over the past five years but re-election was not a "life or death situation" for him.
