11 Die Following Bungoma Hospital Strike

Under normal circumstances, hospitals offer hope for the sick as others are saved from a certain death. The stark reality at Bungoma Hospital in the past week however has become a harsh opposite, as innocent patients find themselves on the receiving end of a strike by health workers, which for some has led right into the morgue.

According to a report by Citizen TV, 11 people have died in the hospital since Wednesday, when the strike began. Grieving relatives say if the nurses and doctors had gone on strike, perhaps the deaths of their loved ones would have been averted.
