Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its portal for revision of courses by the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cohort.

The placement service, in a statement on Saturday, May 17, said the online application system was open for revision of choices for placement of students to universities and colleges for the 2025/2026 cycle.

In the online revision, applicants who did not secure a course in the application that ended on April 30, 2025, will have another chance to log in to the portal again and choose any of the listed courses.

According to KUCCPS, the revision exercise will run for ten days from May 18 to May 27, 2025, with candidates who did not secure their preferred course urged to take advantage of the window.

"KUCCPS online application system is open for revision of choices for placement of students to universities and colleges for the 2025/2026 placement cycle," the placement service stated.

"Applicants who did not secure a course in the application that ended on April 30, 2025, are invited to log in again and choose remaining courses as listed on the portal," it added.

While making the announcement, KUCCPS clarified that 2024 form four leavers who did not apply for any course before the first application window closed were allowed to choose their preferred programmes.

How to Revise

Candidates who seek to revise or apply for the available courses are required to first log in to the portal www.kuccps.ac.ke

Once an applicant accesses the portal, they will be prompted to enter their KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password.

Applicants are advised to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or birth certificate number as their password.

Upon entering the details, the applicant will be able to revise their courses. To revise a course, scroll through the programmes available and either add or revise the courses selected in the bracket.

Meanwhile, the latest announcement comes a fortnight after KUCCPS officially closed its application portal for those seeking university and college slots.
