Six companies – three in Nairobi, one in Kakamega, one in Kiambu, and one in Migori – have announced the auction of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and other household items
According to a gazette notice dated May 30, 2025, the auctioneers include Auckland agencies, Cobbs Auctioneers, Sofina Auctioneers, Simba Corporation, East African Sea Food Limited, and the Spectrum Auctioneers.
The Spectrum Auctioneers said that It will within 30 days auction 11 motorcycles, 32 bicycles, and other electronics and household items, including TVs, a laptop, gas cylinders, clothes, mattresses, scrap metals, a photocopying machine, a table, and tent stands if they remain uncollected at the Kakamega Police station. The motorcycle models include TVS, Boxer, and Honda.
The East African Sea Food Limited announced that it will dispose of office Items and equipment which are lying at its premises, at Alpha Business Park along By-pass, Nairobi, through public auction or private treaty if they remain uncollected in the next 30 days.
The owners have been urged to first pay the storage charges, interests, and any other incidental costs incurred by the equipment before they collect the items.
The Simba Corporation Limited said that it will dispose of a Mitsubishi Pajero, which is lying at the Simba Colt Building, Opposite Panari Hotel, Mombasa Road, Nairobi, within 30 days by either public auction or private treaty.
The owner of the vehicle will also be required to pay all outstanding repair and storage charges, together with any other incidental costs incurred before collecting it.
“Notice is further given that the motor vehicle shall be sold by public auction or private treaty and the proceeds of the sale or part thereof shall be used to defray the outstanding amount owing, should the Owner fail to take delivery within the stipulated period as herein above stated,” the notice stated.
The Sofina Auctioneers announced that it will auction 15 motorcycles and 5 vehicles within 30 days if they remain uncollected at the Macalder Police Station in Migori County.
The motorcycle models include TVS, Hero Hunter, Boxer, and Honda. The vehicle models include the Toyota Premio, Toyota Runx, Belta, Suzuki Escudo, and Hilux Surf.
On the other hand, the Cobbs Auctioneers said that it will auction a Nissan Caravan, which is lying at the premises of Nevis Carwash Kahawa Wendani, within 30 days if it remains uncollected.
The owner of the vehicle will be required to pay Ksh 309,000 for storage charges and any other additional charges.
Lastly, the Auckland Agencies Auctioneers said that it will, within 30 days, auction two Scania prime movers, a trailer, a Muide, and a Nissan Matatu, which are lying at the Astrol Petrol Station, Syokimau, if they remain uncollected.
