With less than a fortnight to the start of the anticipated 2024 African Nations Championships, Kenyans are growing increasingly impatient to purchase tickets to watch the Harambee Stars in action.

Ticket sales were initially set to open on Monday, July 21, but the date was pushed back by two days, with official sales on select online platforms like chan.mookh set to go live from Wednesday, July 23.

Despite the slight delay, fans will have plenty of time to secure tickets for all of Harambee Stars group games, which will all take place at the Moi International Sports Centre (Kasarani).

The 2024 CHAN, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania Uganda and Zanzibar, with Kenyans enjoying a rare advantage since all of the national team's group games will be played at home.

From July 23, tickets are expected to be made available on the selected online platforms, with prices set to cater for different budgets. Regular tickets will go for Ksh200, while VIP tickets will cost Ksh500. Exorbitant fans can access VVIP tickets for Ksh1,000.

Harambee Stars fixtures

Harambee Stars will kick off their campaign on August 3, when they take on the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the Moi International Sports Centre (Kasarani).

Benni McCarthy's side will then follow up that match with a game against Angola on August 7, and this will be followed by a potential thriller against Morocco on August 10, all at the same venue.

Besides Harambee Stars' group games, Kenya's two main stadiums for the 2024 CHAN will also host several high-profile group matches between August 3 and August 18.

Nyayo Stadium will be the venue for key matches such as Morocco vs Angola (August 3), DRC vs Zambia (August 7), Zambia vs Angola (August 10), Morocco vs Zambia (August 14), DRC vs Morocco (August 17), and Algeria vs Niger (August 18).

Meanwhile, the Moi International Sports Centre will host the Angola vs DRC encounter on August 15.

Interestingly, while Kenya's ticket prices are fairly affordable, it is the most expensive among the three countries hosting the biennial continental tourney. Uganda's Local Organising Committee (LOC) released the ticketing information pegging regular tickets at USD1 (approximately Ksh129 and UGX3,586) with VIP tickets retailing at USD2 (approximately Ksh258 and UGX7,052).

VVIP tickets in Uganda will retail at USD3 (approximately Ksh387 and UGX10,578).
