Kenyan business owners have landed a rare opportunity to serve in a global health organisation after the World Health Organisation (WHO) Kenya Country Office announced new tenders inviting businesses to partner.
The call released in an official notice invites eligible vendors to bid for vehicle hire services as well as hotel accommodation, conferencing, and catering services.

Interested business owners have been advised to acquire the bidding document containing all the requirements and Terms of Reference by sending a request to: AFKENPROC@who.int no later than September 2.

"All bids shall be clearly marked with their respective Bid References,’’ the notice continued.
All business owners interested in the bidding have been advised to send their applications to AFKENPROC@who.int .
The move by WHO is a rare opportunity for Kenyan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), many who could benefit from such opportunities.
The WHO Kenya office, located at the United Nations Office in Gigiri, Nairobi, has maintained that the selection process will be competitive but fair. The business owners have also been informed that WHO reserves the right to reject any bid.
WHO has also revealed that it is not bound to select the lowest bid and that only successful bidders will be notified in writing of the final bid decision.
