Kisumu, Nakuru & Nairobi Among Regions to Experience Rains and Showers This Week - Kenya Met

The Kenya Meteorological Department has announced that rain is likely in several parts of the country over the next five days.

The agency noted that some major towns, including Nairobi, Kiambu, Kericho, Eldoret, Nakuru, Naivasha, Kisumu, and Lodwar, will experience rainfall between Tuesday, September 23, and Saturday, September 27.

Additionally, towns along the coast, and other counties including Machakos and Lodwar, will experience strong southerly to south-easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots.

However, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi counties are expected to experience sunny conditions throughout the day on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, sunny intervals are expected in the morning, and showers are expected in a few places during the afternoon. Partly cloudy conditions are expected to be experienced at night throughout the week.

According to the weatherman, the maximum temperatures in these counties are expected to hit 32°C, with minimums at 5°C, according to the weatherman.

Rain, showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected to hit Kisumu, Kisii, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot counties throughout the week, both during the day and night.

According to the forecast, the maximum temperatures in these regions during this period are expected to be 32°C, with minimums at 08°C.

Residents of Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale counties, as well as Tana River County, are expected to experience day-long sunny intervals and cloudy conditions during the night in the next five days, according to the weatherman. Maximum temperatures in these counties are predicted to be 32°C, while minimums will be around 20°C.

Daylong sunny intervals and cloudy conditions at night are expected to prevail in Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta counties, as well as the inland parts of Tana River County, in the next five days. Maximum temperatures in these areas are expected to be 34 °C, with minimums of 11°C.

Turkana and Samburu counties will experience daylong sunny intervals and partly cloudy conditions until Thursday; however, residents have been encouraged to brace for rains and showers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Residents in these areas will experience maximum temperatures of 37°C and minimums of 07°C.

Sunny conditions will be experienced in Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo counties during the day and cloudy conditions at night. According to the weatherman, maximum temperatures in these areas will reach 39°C, while minimums will be 15°C.
