State Agencies Including IPOA, SRC Announce Job Vacancies, How to Apply

Several State agencies have announced new job opportunities in various departments and are urging qualified candidates to submit their applications before the due dates.

On September 23, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) were among the agencies that advertised several vacancies.

IPOA advertised six vacancies across various departments. Among the jobs advertised by the authority are Investigations Officer II, Principal Legal Officer, Senior Assistant Director, Internal Audit and Risk, with one person needed for each, while Principal Investigations Officer had three posts advertised.

The authority urged candidates to make applications through its careers portal before October 14, 2025, at 5pm.

At SRC, the position of Head of Human Resources and Administration (Level RL3) was advertised.

The commission urged qualified applicants to submit their applications through the SRC E-recruitment portal before October 9, 2025.

The commission also clarified that neither hard copy nor email applications would be accepted, and that only applications submitted through the portal would considered.

“Interested and qualified persons are requested to register and apply to the SRC E-recruitment Portal. Details of the position are on the Commission website under the Career Section. Hard copies and email applications shall not be considered. Details of the position are on the Commission website,” the notice read.

According to the commission, successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution including providing valid clearance certificates. 

The Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) also declared several vacant positions. Among the jobs advertised were four internship positions, five Permanent and part-time positions and 25 contractual jobs.

The institution urged interested people to check more details about the vacancies online through the TUM jobs portal and submit their applications before October 6, 2025.

“The University is seeking suitable qualified candidates to fill various vacant positions. Detailed information about the specific positions, duties and responsibilities, minimum requirements and application guide is available in the University Website,” part of the notice read.
