Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has asked Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to quit politics for failing to bring development in the Ukambani region when he served as a public servant.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader said this during a Kamba community resource mobilization drive to purchase a community bus, held in Kilifi County on 29th November 2025.
The CS claimed that Kalonzo had been in public service for over 40 years, yet he did not ensure development in the Ukambani region.
"From Mwingi to Kalonzo's home in Tseikuru, he has been in government for 40 years, yet he has not built a road even at his home; he has not installed electricity at his home; there is no water at his home," the CS claimed.
The Labour CS accused the Wiper leader of running politics of poverty. Mutua further claimed that Kalonzo's time is up, asserting that he is launching a revolution to remove Kalonzo as the kingpin of the Kamba region.
"We want to give Kalonzo Musyoka a notice that now we are launching a revolution. Kalonzo must leave the space for us to drive development politics in Ukambani," CS Mutua said.
The CS is part of the Kenya Kwanza brigade that is opposing Kalonzo in the Ukambani region.
Kalonzo's Wiper party is dominant in the Ukambani region with 14 Members of Parliament, 3 governors, and over 60 elected MCAs across the 3 counties.
The Wiper party beat Maendeleo Chap Chap in the 27th November 2025 by-elections in Mumbuni North Ward.
Wiper's Antony Kisoi won the election by 3849 votes, beating Maendeleo Chap Chap candidate Harrison Wambua, who got 2766 votes.
