Dan Kinyajui better known as Dan Sonko, who is an actor based in Mombasa lost his wife on Tuesday after she developed complications after childbirth.
Druscillah Walowe delivered her newborn safely but later slipped into a coma.
Friends and family had appealed to well-wishers to donate blood at Aga Khan hospital as she needed 6 pints and they got way above that.
Unfortunately, Walowe did not respond as expected after her body stopped producing platelets that aid in blood clotting.
Kinyajui kept the public updated on the progress of his wife via his social media pages, posting messages of hope and prayer that touched the hearts of many.
Under the hashtag #GodHealDru, it was announced that Dru lost her life on Tuesday night after being in a coma for close to three days.
Kenyans from all walks of life took to the post to convey their condolences and offer their support to Kinyajui and the family.
The late Dru was known among her peers as a strong-willed woman with a vibrant personality and she leaves behind her loving husband and two sons, Djibril and Darell Sonko.
