The National Super Alliance (NASA) has been dealt another blow after the brother to one of the principals led the youth in defecting to Jubilee.
Fred Wetangula, brother to FORD-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, led a group of youth from Bungoma in defecting to the ruling coalition.
"Enough is enough. We will no longer support Ford Kenya. We have been used for long but only Moses benefits," the Senator's brother stated.
Fred has been instrumental in the political career of his elder brother.
He has been leading campaigns and mobilizing support across Bungoma and the larger Western region. His defection is seen as a blow to Wetangula's political ambitions.
The team of youth admitted that they have been accompanying Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka to Jubilee rallies, and declared that they would aggressively campaign for Uhuru's re-election bid.
Fred disclosed that his rebellion was due to the shambolic Ford Kenya nominations that has seen losers gang up against Moses Wetangula, with a meeting set for Thursday.
Sources privy to the information reveal that the key agenda for the meeting will be to chart the way forward and campaign against the Ford Kenya leader.
"The man has been using us to fight his wars only to end up rewarding the highest bidders. We are going to expose him," Fred stated.
