Five people have been confirmed dead and 9 others critically injured after they were involved in a fatal accident along the Kenol - Sagana road on Thursday night.
The accident occurred after a lorry ferrying logs rammed into two matatus near the Mlima Wara black spot in Murang'a County.
The 9 injured patients, who are in critical condition, were taken to Thika Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
Elsewhere, three people were on Friday morning killed after a matatu they were traveling in rolled several times on its way from Kisii to Bondo.
The accident occurred after the matatu driver lost control at Ayueyo area in Ahero.
Nyanza traffic commander Andrew Naibei confirmed the incident stating that an unknown number of people were injured.
