A tea farmer from Kericho, Mr Phillip Korir, has had his life change for the better after he accurately recalled the birth dates of his wife and children.
Mr Korir defied the odds - as rarely can men recollect such dates - in a bid to take part in the Pambazuka National Lottery.
He participated more than 5 times in the past and selected all his family members’ birth dates as his lucky numbers and on this occasion, these dates made him the night’s 5 number winner to his delight.
“Who thought my children’s and wives birth dates would one day win me money? I participated in the Pambazuka draw last week selecting my lucky numbers based on my family’s birthdays and here I am with my winnings," an excited Korir wondered.

The farmer is now smiling all the way to the bank after he correctly selected 5 out of a possible 6 lucky numbers during the Lottery's 90th draw to win Sh136,474.
He was also elated to have visited the Pambazuka National Lottery’s studios here in Nairobi to attend a live show and meet the firm’s representatives.
“I thank Pambazuka for changing my life. I will inject much needed capital into my farming business and settle some pending debts”, he added.
