Former Minister Chirau Mwakwere Dares President Uhuru Kenyatta to Expose Him

The war of words between former Kenyan Ambassador to Tanzania Chirau Mwakwere and President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken a new twist after Makwere dared the president to go ahead with his threat to expose him.

Speaking to his supporters on Thursday, Mr Makwere, dared President Uhuru to expose him over claims that he was peddling propaganda against the government yet they had records of alleged involvement in underhand deals in the mining industry.

Makwere stated that he would not be cowed into remaining silent about the injustices committed by the Jubilee administration and that he would continue to advocate issue of land and minerals.

He added that he was not worried about Uhuru's threat as he has not taken anyone's land in the region and would not stop telling the truth during campaigns.

"I will give evidence to show who did it and on those who tried to expand the land allocation to Base Titanium. I was the ambassador to Tanzania at that time. Nobody threatens Mwakwere.

“I heard my file will be opened. Please, let them make it public as soon as possible. I am a clean man and everyone knows that." he stated.

Mwakwere, a Wiper candidate noted those behind mineral scandals were hiding behind curtains of corruption but will soon be exposed. He also said there is also documentary evidence to support the claims against them.

President Uhuru had earlier in the month warned Mwakwere against pretending that he cared about the interests of the locals in regard to land and minerals.

“Stop the propaganda because we can expose you easily since we have your records. Do not forget we have all the records of all previous governments and we know what you are," warned Uhuru.
