DP William Ruto's Best Moments Captured on Camera that Got Kenyans Talking

Being the Deputy President (DP), William Ruto has always been in the spotlight with cameras capturing him on numerous occasions. Kenyans.co.ke compiled the following moments when the DP was captured on camera.

Weeping

While attending a church service, the DP was overcome with emotions and broke down in tears. This was shortly after he obtained victory from the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague.

Holding hands

The DP and the president made their first public appearance to announce the cabinet secretaries in matching clothes. With the two holding hands and appearing to enjoy every minute they spent together, the cordial relationship between the president and his deputy did not go unnoticed in what was described as a bromance.

While on a tour of his rural home, Ruto and President Kenyatta posed for a photo next to a building that once housed the DP. The photo went viral with Kenyans reflecting how far the DP had come on his journey to the top.

Sharing Nyama Choma

Once in a while, DP Ruto finds time to dine with the least expected guests. During a tour of his Rift Valley home turf, the DP and the Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago retreated to a small kiosk where they shared lunch. The DP also joined residents of Umoja estate in Nairobi for a meal of nyama choma at a local kiosk where few would expect a man of his social status to eat.

Eating Maize

Roasted and boiled maize seem to be part of what the DP enjoys. On numerous occasions, Ruto has been captured on camera buying and enjoying maize. The crop is grown in the Rift Valley where he was born and raised.

Running

While receiving a team of athletes that had done the nation proud, the deputy president engaged his security detail in a race at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Cameras did not fail to capture the moments.
