Francis Nyenze Confirms He is in Wiper Party and NASA, Not Jubilee

Celebrations in the Jubilee camp were on Tuesday cut short after Wiper party member and minority chief whip Francis Nyenze confirmed that he was in Wiper to stay.

The Kitui West Member of Parliament (MP) dismissed any claims linking him to supporting the candidature of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the coming elections.

He clarified that he had only thanked the president for his development initiatives and did ditch Wiper party as alleged by a section of the press.

His utterances on Friday raised eyebrows with Wiper party members calling for the nullification of his nomination as Wiper party candidate for Kitui West parliamentary seat.

Wiper party leadership had disclosed that they would summon the MP to shed more lights on his statement that sent Jubilee party supporters into celebrations, believing that they were winning more support in the Ukambani region.

"I have never contemplated leaving Wiper for Jubilee. I assure you and everyone that I am in wiper and in NASA to stay," he said.

During a public rally that was attended by former Wiper Party leader David Musila on Friday, Nyenze showered praise on the Jubilee administration for empowering special groups like the youth and women. This was allegedly taken as endorsement for the president.

“If somebody does well for you, you can’t forget. Can you forget those who have done well like Uhuru Kenyatta?” he said at Kauwi Primary School on Friday.
