Tunza Party Presidential Candidate Abduba Dida Skips Radio Interview With Musyi FM

Presidential candidate Abduba Dida on Wednesday morning failed to honour an appointment to be interviewed on one of the Royal Media radio stations citing that he was fed up with journalists.

Mr Dida outlined that he was fed up with always being called by journalists to speak and never because the journalists wanted to donate to his campaigns.

"Why can't you reporters call me to give me Sh5 Million for my campaigns? Why must you call me to only ask questions," Mr Dida is reported to have asked last evening when the appointment was made.

The radio presenter from Musyi FM, who goes by Sir Mwenge Mwenge, made a phone call when the presidential candidate failed to appear and Mr Dida explained that he was engaged elsewhere.

"I'm held up in a lecture that began at 6 am and it will end at 7 am. Let us postpone the interview to tomorrow, I'll cancel everything," Mr Dida told the presenter.

Dida went on to ask whether Mr Mwenge had sent a text the previous night to remind him of the appointment.

The presenter affirmed that he had, to which Dida outlined that the message may have been mistakenly deleted before he read it.

"I checked at 2 am when I woke up and I did not see it, someone must have tampered with my phone and deleted it. But I promise, even if you call next week I will cancel everything and come," Dida promised.

The teacher outlined that his day begins at 2 am as he has to be at the mosque for morning prayers at 3 am after which he returns to bed between 5 am and 6 am.

Mr Dida will be making his second attempt at the Presidency during the August 8 General Election.
